Channel Islands Sailing Trip 30th Aug - 8th Sep

Hi.

We are 2 experienced sailors who will be going on holiday to the channel islands from the evening Friday 30th August through to the Sunday 8th September. It's a relaxed venture and we are discovering these islands for the first time.

I have put together an outline itinerary which allows people either to do an outward leg or return leg by plane to Guernsey. This allows crew to only take 2 or 4 days holiday instead of a whole week, the changeover day being Tuesday the 3rd of September.

Day 1         30-Aug         Friday Arrive Hamble
Day 2         31-Aug         Saturday Early departure to Braye, Alderney. Plan B Cherbourg
Day 3         01-Sep         Sunday Braye to Beaucette, Guernsey
Day 4         02-Sep         Monday Beaucette to St. Peter's Port via Herm Island
Day 5         03-Sep         Tuesday Day ashore St. Peter's Port
Day 6         04-Sep         Wednesday St. Peter's Port to Sark - anchor overnight
Day 7         05-Sep         Thursday Sark visit - anchor overnight
Day 8         06-Sep         Friday Sark to Braye, Alderney
Day 9         07-Sep         Saturday Alderney day ashore and prep for night sail
Day 10         08-Sep         Sunday Arrive Hamble

I plan to visit Alderney, Geurnsey and it's two sister islands Herm and Sark. There are two full non-sailing days ashore. This is all subject to the weather, of course.

We will be taking a Hallberg Rassy 36 and we are looking for between 2-4 crew who are experienced with ocean sailing and sailing at night.

The cost is a non-refundable deposit of £20 per person per day to guarantee a place and offset any damage to the boat. To confirm your place, you will need to pay in advance. Additional expenses such as food, fuel will be charged separately. Insurance necessary. You sail at your own risk.
